When I was kid I really enjoyed those movies with monsters then I learned the person behind those creatures were Ray Harryhausen. I had the pleasure to attend an event when his book came out, «Ray Harryhausen An Animated Life,» and I was thrilled to meet the master behind the creatures that I enjoyed during my childhood. On this post I collected some clips to showcase his work as special visual effects creator.

Ray Harryhausen also worked on animations like the Mother Goose stories, recently I found this: The Tortoise & The Hare – 2002. According to IMDB trivia this project started in 1952 and it was completed in 2002, 50 years after.
